Last Lecture.

My dear friends, it gives me much joy and privilege to write to you this pieces an advice as you prepare to begin studying B283 02 (Small Business Creation). First and foremost, let me take this opportunity to congratulate you on your decision to enroll in this online program. It is indeed a great opportunity as members of the Lords own church to have access to this program. As quoted in the Doctrine and Covenant “The glory of God is intelligence, or, in other words, light and truth …. And whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life; it will rise with us in the resurrection” (D & C 93:36, 130: 18). This is the only program I have come across whereby circular and spiritual things are being taught together, where you have the chance to associate with other members of the church to learn from each other’s experience and great ideas. Instructors are wonderful and serviceable, always ready to help students with their needs. It is a blessing for us and we must make good use of it with hard work in showing gratitude to this noble offer.

My dear friends let us have a goal in mind as we begin each new semester and that is my first advice for you. In preach my gospel it is said that goals reflects the desires of our heart and if therefore taking B283 02 (Small Business Creation) is the desires of our heart than we will pay it with more importance. Students who understands their purpose ever lose sight of what they are aiming at, for they work harder till they finally gets what they are looking for which is success. This will shape our attitude towards the program and eventually encourage you to do better.

Secondly, all students must learn how to discipline their time, in other words, time need to be spent consciously since almost every assignment comes with its calendar and due dates. I think we may not wait too long before summiting your class assignments but rather turns all assignments on time.  This will allow some time for your instructor to go through your work and provides meaningful feedback.

Respect and love your instructors, listen to their advice and follow their instructions. Since I began enrolling in this program I have had the privilege of meeting wonderful instructors who are always willing to me succeed. They are open to listen to our challenges and help us improve. Their testimonies are inspiring and will urge us become responsible citizens to our country and the church in general.

Every lesson is accompanied with reading materials which are structured to give clearer understanding to our studies. Students become more acquainted with the course and perform better as they become obedient and study these materials.

My last advice to you, my dear friend is for us to be prayerful and always rely on the Holy Spirit throughout your studies. He will direct and provides us with a retentive memory when we stand in need.

My fellow friends I bear you my solemn testimony that if we follow these advice, success will be yours.

Franchising

"Do what you love. Jobs once said, "People with passion can change the world for the better." Asked about the advice he would offer would-be entrepreneurs, he said, "I'd get a job as a busboy or something until I figured out what I was really passionate about." That's how much it meant to him. Passion is everything"
From all that I read, I found the above to be one of the touching statement that can change the lives of many employees. Many at times we found ourselves doing particular job all in the name of money instead of passion. For us to be more successful in this world of business, I think there will be the greater need to have passion for what we do that shifting all attention to Money.

Failing Forward

 Failing Forward.

This week I had the opportunity to read about Tom Nall who created a Republic Tequila, in partnership with Ken MacKenzie. There were two things a leant from him and the first was to be ourselves or in other words yourself and don’t be afraid to be different. I also learn that as entrepreneurs we need to be optimistic and need to be calculated risk takers.
I was opportune to Trial and error assignment that mainly talks about some failures that are associated with entrepreneurs. From Woody Hayes, the Ohio State Football Coach, “When you get knocked down, which is plenty often, get right up in a hurry, just as quick as you can.” It takes integrity and determination to overcome challenges as an entrepreneur
I think in life, we are have a river to cross. Some may seems more challenging than the other but in all, it faith and determination that will propel us to reach our true potential.
Life has a lot to teach us. Is only when we choose to stand strong in our conditions which may come our way that will enable us to achieve our goals and plans in life.
  • Strategic vision
  • Perseverance
  • Hard work
  • Desire to change the world for the better
  • Inner motivation
  • Optimism
I truly believe the above and other qualities are attributes that every entrepreneur need in order to be successful in his or her business.
